How come gifs sometimes come up as a grey box on my dash?
This is because the person that submitted it didn’t upload it, only inserted the image with html, despite what I plead people to do time and time again :P If you want to submit then pleaaaaase, please, please, please upload it not insert it with html, after all, the less grey boxes the more people see it, the more notes it gets and the more followers you get ;)
Can you send me a link to said picture?/How do I save said picture?
If you want the picture saved on your computer all you need to is right click on the picture you want and click “Save image as…” or something to the sort, then choose a location and name for your image and voila.
How do I know if my submission is accepted?/When will my submission be posted?
When submitting posts you have a much, much greater chance of being approved if you follow the tips I put on the submit page, i.e. making sure your gifs don’t show up as grey boxes. Most submissions I get are submitted as grey boxes and usually I cba to fix them because I get too many so often they aren’t posted :( If your submission does get approved, however, it’ll show up on the dash within 2-3 days usually, but it’s often shorter because sometimes I like to just randomly post stuff from the queue :}
Do you know who the person in said gif is?
If I know, I’ll usually tell you, but if you’re anon and I don’t know then I don’t answer them saying I don’t know, because I get about 50 messages telling me who it is :L But if you aren’t anon and I don’t know sometimes I’ll say I don’t know and ask people to say in your ask box, but I still get loads of messages telling me who it is. On the other hand, sometimes I cba to answer for that reason. Either way, you’re so, so, so much better off asking the person who submitted it.
